Arj began his career in the fitness industry almost 20 years ago in Melbourne where he developed his passion for injury rehabilitation thanks to finding a mentor in Sports Physiotherapist Wayne Rogers. In the latter half of his career coming into present day, Arj still works with general population clients for rehabilitation and pain management but then added strength and conditioning and work with athletes.
Since moving to Bendigo, he has been involved with athletes from many different sports based locally, nationally and internationally. He has worked with WNBL Bendigo Spirit, Bendigo Braves and is currently Head of S&C for Australian Women’s Volleyball.
He presents for the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association and is passionate about helping athletes and their parents understand every aspect of what it takes to be successful in their chosen sport. Away from coaching, Arj is a popular public speaker in areas of business development and men’s mental health awareness and devotes much of his spare time to helping men in Central Victoria overcome depression, stress and anxiety.
Arj is one of the senior most High Performance Coaches in Bendigo and Central Victoria, holding a Level 2 – Elite qualification with the Australian Strength & Conditioning Association, he also holds an MBA from the University of Canberra and is currently completing his Masters of Strength & Conditioning at Edith Cowan University.
